  • I called and scheduled an appointment in May 2013. I was buying a house and needed the carpet cleaned before my housemates were to move in. They came over and all seemed pretty well. The man over promised the carpets would be dry the same day, it took about 48 hours though i had the AC running still as he suggested. What came to be awful was a blue stain appearing up and down the carpet, running through the hall and into all the rooms and appearing like a very obvious splatter mark. I called the company to ask them to redo the cleaning, but the person I was speaking to (turning out later to be the owner) told me there must have been something under the carpet their cleaning brought up and after a bit of discussion (I did use any type of offensive language or cursing) he hung up on me! I called back in again extremely frustrated and asked to speak to his manager. He laughed and said he was the owner (I was speaking with Don himself). I tried reasoning with him in vain, they were not going to come out without me paying minimum $100 (after I paid $124 for the rooms and boosted chemical for my 3 bedrooms and hallway). He told me to read the agreement on the receipt and hung up on me once again. I read it a few times, then I called and told him I was completely unsatisfied and the agreement says "Satisfaction Guaranteed!". This should clearly be removed from their receipt. After more discussion, asking for some sort of assistance, I advised I would be leaving reviews where I could and on facebook and also filing a complaint with the better business bureau. I called up another carpet cleaning company (Affordable Carpet Cleaners) which cleaned up all the blue no problem for $50, and then I proceeded to file a chargeback with my credit card company for that amount. Eventually, a woman called me from All City Carpet Cleaners apologizing for what happened, offered $50 so I would close the chargeback, and said they have taken appropriate measures to prevent this from happening again. They issued me a refund so I closed the chargeback, but they said they hoped I would return for them for future business. This shows they still miss the point; I wanted to feel they cared about me, but they continually show they're concerned more about business and profits. I originally removed the review for them repaying the $50 for what I paid to reclean the carpets, but in nowise does this make me want to ever do business with them again and I feel I should warn others of my experience.
