  • This was, by far, the worst dining experience that I've ever had. My girlfriend and I met here for lunch. Our server was apathetic, so say the least. My girlfriend inquired about a lunch special, which was called "Sizzling Plate". Our server stood their staring at his notebook and kind of shrugged his shoulders in response. My friend asked him if he was new there, and he mumbled "kinda new" while still staring at his notebook. She pulled out the menu and pointed to the plate that she was asking about and went ahead and ordered it. Five minutes later, he came back with a different menu in which the Sizzling Plate was crossed out with a black sharpie. He told us that they no longer offer that special. We asked for a manager, and out came Peter. Peter seems like a very nice person; however, he is by no means management material. It is clear that he has not had any training in diffusing situations or handling customer complaints. He reiterated that they no longer offered that special, even though the special was still listed in the menu that we had received. We went back and forth until I proposed that they honor the special for us until they update all of their menus, to which he obliged. I decided to mention to him that our server was very rude and dismissive, only to hear from Peter that our server was sick and not feeling well. (IMO, our server seemed hungover...) As Peter walked away without apologizing for a rocky start, I saw our "sick" server making our drinks, which involved cutting fruit and gathering mint leaves to be muddled. There was no bartender on duty, which was abundantly apparent when we took a sip of our drinks- my drink was supposed to be a strawberry and mint infused lemonade, but it tasted like strawberries and rum... I sent it back. My girlfriend also sent hers back, as it tasted terrible as well. We waited 40 minutes for our food. We had to ask three times for our checks. Once we finally received them, Peter still had not offered an apology for the terrible, apathetic, slow, uniformed service that we received. To no surprise, they had not discounted our checks for the inconvenient and mess of a meal.
