Another vote for DO NOT GO THERE, also would like to award a minus star Too bad to see a good place go down the tubes - had been going there since the store opened and it used to be good - not anymore - another vote for resetting the management.
We had a tire issue today - a tire with 22000 miles got a flat - it was one of those big sturdy 4X4 tires which used to last a good 50,000 miles before anything minor would happen. This tire appeared bent and separated inside according to to mechanical engineer partner. The folks at the service desk said it was punctured. We had road hazard on them (odd thing - never used to need road hazard on that kind of tire) but they said it was not reparable and the best they could do was pro-rate the tire.
When I questioned why I had even purchased road hazard since they ALWAYS prorate tires irregardless of whether you purchased road hazard or not, the discourteous courtesy manager more or less implied that I was lucky he was doing this much for me and that in fact, I was welcome to go elsewhere......
Very sad situation indeed. This used to the Pep Boys where I would stop by to replace tires and the staff would look at them and say it probably was not necessary since there was still a lot of tread left on them - I always felt like they valued my business since they knew I would be back.
Instead, they added insult to injury by first phoning the house trying to extract a brake job from us, and then advising us at the register that we only had about ten miles left on our brake pads and by the way, did we know that we needed some rotors too ?????
Well, Walmart here we come...at least we will get what we are paying for at Walmart (cheap prices and no service as opposed to higher prices at Pep Boys and no service).
One additional comment to management - drop the emails and frequent buyer clubs - the only way you can compete with Walmart is by bringing back your old style of service.
