This was our first stay and we will definitely come back if our travels bring us to montreal.
It was newly renovated a few years back so has an old world feel with modern convenience. The location is good near square victoria metro. Our junior suite had two bathrooms, a very big bathroom and nice sitting area.
Service was good from the front desk to housekeeping to spa and restaurant. The spa is cool as it is in the old bank vault in the basement, but dont worry its not claustrophobic at all.
My only complaints are
1. The rooms do not have a ton of light. I dont know why most hotels skimp on lighting. They should just stick in lots of can lights and if they want ambience use floor lamps on top of that. I wouldnt want to have to work all day in this room but it would be fine for a normal in and out business trip. Notably there was little light by the room safe so you need to be careful what you put in it.
2. The rain shower dripped even when it wasnt on. It wasnt awful but those random cold drops were not helpful.
3. There is plenty of storage in the room but could be laid out better. There was a valet closet, two nightstands and then a hanging closet, all separated by the bed and decent distance. A minor point but it seems like something you could design better.
