As every grape experiencing hostility knows, "where there is anger, there is always pain underneath." The Hostile Grape is a love/hate relationship for me.
I love the name
I love the space
I love the option of sampling 1oz., 2oz., or 4oz. pours of wine
The food is fine/adequate
The acoustics make for a loud environment
The wine prices are some of the most expensive you'll find in the valley
The Hostile Grape is a unique environment in the Las Vegas Valley. There are few places that provide the same type of feeling associated with walking down the stairs to the wine world that is the Hostile Grape. This exclusive setting becomes what you are justifying if you choose to frequent the Hostile Grape...and it is an appealing atmosphere. In fact I would argue with someone that suggested 4 stars...it is a special place. For me though, there are enough aspects I don't care for to balance out the facets that I love to a strong 3 stars.
