  • This is part of my Saturday ritual to shop for the weekend at St Lawrence Market. As someone with a long connection for many years with the food industry in luxury hotels and restaurants in London, Paris, Toronto and Vancouver, it is like a breath of fresh air for me to shop here. Both the North market (open Saturdays only) and the South market (open Tuesday through Saturday) offer a truly great selection of foods for those interested in quality. Shopping for meat, fish cheeses, charcuterie, bread and other necessities of good living is a real pleasure, and a far more enjoyable experience to visiting the large supermarkets with sometimes doubtful quality and selection. Going to St Lawrence Market is like coming home.
