  • 3.5 stars High expectations of Phoenician ended up in a bit of disappointment. I must preface with that this was a one night stay last summer. An all day onsite business meeting brought me here. I didn't like the layout of the hotel. My room was not in the main tower but off to the side where the door faces outside (like a motel). There were dead spiders in the room near the door. I guess to be expected due to the location of my room. The room was plain and boring. The conference rooms were large and spacious. The hotel's catered food (breakfast and lunch) served at the meetings was okay. The room rate doesn't seem to coincide here. I certainly wouldn't come here for pleasure. There are other resorts in the area worth going to.
