| - Horrible experience here.
We initially took our 4 year old son here after he fell and lacerated his chin. On the way here, my wife called and made sure that they could do stitches on a child's chin injury. We were assured that they would.
When we got there, we were seen by a Nurse Practitioner. She had an Indian accent, which made it difficult to understand her at times. She was NOT focused on maintaining our child's trust, safety and calmness. At one point she put tweezers into our child's chin laceration to "check how deep it was". She then told us that because it was deep, they would not treat us and that we would have to go to the ER. The Nurse Practitioner then wanted to stick the tweezers back into my son's laceration, just to show us (never mind that it caused him to scream and become incredibly scared). We had to just about shout at her to tell her no, that is completely unnecessary. We already saw it the first time anyway.
At that point, we were going to walk out the door when she got very agitated and confrontational, telling us that we cannot leave yet because we have to follow their procedures and she has to provide paperwork. We stayed, thinking they were going to give us some type of useful documentation to provide to the ER. Wrong, instead, she just made us wait and forced us to sign a "Waiver of Treatment" form. She also mentioned something about the normal procedure being to call an ambulance if we had to go to an ER from there.
The whole experience was terrible and I do not recommend this place.
