I really wanted to love this burrito place -- but I'm afraid it was only okay.
This place isn't fancy, which I take to be a good sign; the best burritos I've found tend to be at hole in the wall joints. The price was good, and a large was big enough to split for a decent meal. We tried the beer chipotle chicken with the works. The meat was fine, though sweeter than I liked; it's likely that other meats have better and more interesting flavors. Fillings were generous, but the flavor just wasn't what I was hoping for, based on the stellar reviews.
To be fair, though, I was spoiled by excellent, cheap Mexican burritos during 7 years living in Los Angeles. I don't know what Toronto standards are for burritos, so Bolet's very likely stacks up to other options in town!
