| - After searching for non-surgical methods of hair growth, I ran across Evolution, which was about 8 miles from my home. I went there and met with their lovely office staff, who are polite and explained the process, and of course the costs.
As one of the other reviewers said, there is a cost involved, but because of the hair loss I was having due to the stress in my life from a divorce and also age, I felt it was a worthy investment. My hair was literally blowing out like a dog coat in the summer... I'd be finding 14 hairs each morning on my pillow.
I went into the office and Amber, the office manager explained the costs and payment options- and after going home and thinking about it for 24 hours, I called her up to set up my first appointment and payment arrangement.
My start time was 3 weeks after my initial payment, because of a vacation- so I started on the vitamins, topicals and other things needed for treatment and went in when I returned home to start the in-clinic laser treatments. I didn't motice a huge change at first, but all of the sudden in the 3rd month my hair really started to take off.
I was actually allergic to one of the plants used in the making of some of their products, so Dr. Will suggested other products I could buy from a healthfood store to take in its place. There was one product that there was not an option, which I know had I have been able to take every pill offered for the program- I'd have even more improvement that I do now... but oh well, it happens and I am still VERY happy with my results.
My hairstylist actually noticed before I did and made a comment about how the hair was starting to grow and some of my almost dead scalp was springing back to life.
At the end of the 9 months, I'd say I had a significant increase in hair, hair thickness and even some reversal of greying.
Of course if you want to keep your hair growing and retaining the level you are at after the 9 months they are going to attempt to sell an iGrow hair home treatment system and get you to stay on the topicals, vitamins- so on. Dr. Will or his office staff were not pushy at all about it at all.
Its pretty plain and simple, if you stop the stuff that get you to the point of growing hair to where it is, your body is going to adjust back eventually and you'll start to regress... its a given, so if you plan on doing this process- plan on continuing at LEAST on the vitamins, shampoos and topicals. I purchased the iGrow and use it 2x a week.
It is now 3 months after my program and I went in for a 3 month follow up scalp check and in the same areas where I had baby hairs still growing when the program was done, those hairs have matured and some are getting dark and thick.
Don't expect a miracle going into it- as some areas just naturally wont grow hair, and Dr. Will and his staff explain that when you first meet with them- so going into it, I knew only the crown of my head and the back of my head had the potential to grow hair. A lot of people expect that hair will pop up everywhere (including their hairline) and for some people the hair won't come back in in that area- a few others it may... mine didn't, but it did thicken up in the areas where there is hair- and I am happy with it.
So... to end my review. My hair stylist and the stylist at the station next to her, who have been watching my progress are impressed at how successful its been...I am happy and satisfied with how my hair turned out after the 9 months and happy that continuing on the products for the past 3 months along with the iGrow, my hair is still continuing to thicken, get dark and grow.
I wish I could post the before and after shots I shot at home on my phones camera. when I show people the difference they're like "Whoa!"
I'm excited to see what new ideas Will and his team develop as this is still a growing field. I today just went in and picked up their new shampoo to try, so I'll see how that goes.
If you are looking for a non-surgical way to grow hair Evolution may be a good choice for you. It worked for me.
