  • Summerlin Jewelers is fantastic. My fiancĂ© and I started talking about getting me my wedding ring a while back and I had no idea where to start. I knew that I wanted something different from the popular ring styles today. Something unique and that had character. I really wanted a vintage ring. I started looking around on Pinterest for ring styles and always kept coming back to an art deco style ring from the 1920's. When I went to check it out on Etsy, it had already sold unfortunately. We decided to research ring shops in town and go check out what vintage styles they carried. Most shops don't carry the vintage styles. It seemed like if I wanted to get one in the style I wanted it would have to be custom made. One of the last ring shops we checked out suggested that I go see Summerlin Jewelers. They told us they had a great variety for a good price, as well as lots of estate jewelry. We went to check out their store. It's just a small little shop next to a grocery store, but it is full of gorgeous, unique jewelry. As soon as we walked in I found a few pieces I really liked. We ended up working with Melissa and talking to her about what I wanted. She took down my info and sent me emails of art deco style rings they got into the shop as she received them. They were all beautiful, but just not the ring I had found on Pinterest. It was stuck in my mind. We decided to have the ring I wanted custom made. We sent out the info and pictures of the ring I liked and waited for the quotes to come back. Only 2 of the stores we emailed sent quotes back and one of them was Summerlin Jewelers. Their price was also the more affordable of the two. We decided to have them make my ring. We then went back in and met with Melissa. She sized my finger, helped us pick out a stone and discussed with me all the details I wanted in the ring. A little while later we got a call that they had finished the wax version of the ring, so we went in to check it out. It was beautiful, but something about it was not how I pictured it in my head. We left the shop and as soon as I got to the car I got a knot in my stomach. I decided I had to go back in and talk to Melissa about it again. I felt like she was going to think I was crazy for agreeing with the version and then coming back in and changing my mind, but she made me feel very comfortable and wanted to make sure I got it exactly how I wanted it. We talked about what I was thinking in my head and she put in the changes for a second wax version. When we went back the second time to check the second version it was perfect. Exactly what I pictured in my head as well as the pictures I had sent them. I was very excited to see how it was going to turn out. Of course I didn't get to see the real thing until my fiancĂ© proposed at Disneyland! It was absolutely stunning. I have no regrets having my ring custom made from Summerlin Jewelers. Melissa was very kind, understanding and a pleasure to work with. I definitely will recommend Summerlin Jewelers to anyone who asks.
