  • My boyfriend decided to surpise me with dinner here for valentine's day..dinner and another surprise after which we never got to attend. His brother in law physically came down to the restaurant on Wednesday to make a reservation because they wanted the night to go as they plan..6pm for 4..Sunday night came..We arrived at 5:30 and good thing we did because our reservation was nowhere to be found in their old fashioned graph paper..We asked to see a manager who never came to speak to us and the other 2 couples who was having the same problem..We atleast was seated so we decided to not complain and stay positive because of the occasion plus Joe the host who sat us down was delightful..We watched him work his butt off all night..from hosting, bussing tables and setting them up and entertaining the guests to help ease the tension. Susan our server came and if it wasn't for the occasion, our 20 minute drive and her and Joe we would have definitely walked out..the food was decent..almost 2 hours past before we got our main course..from what we were told..someone else had picked our food up and given to a different table..by this time..everyone we came in with were long gone..another hour pass and we were finally done.. the soup..ravioli and crepe was decent but the steak was terrible..we were so hungry it didn't even matter at this point.. Again..we got seated at 5:50 and did not get out of there until 8:45 pm..our valentine's night was ruined and had to get back home since we missed our show and had to get back to the baby.. We stopped a server who turned out to be a manager and they decided to give us 30% off which we didnt believe was enough and she came back with 50% off..we were so tired of waiting that we just agrees to paid and was so happy to get out of there..Honestly for the 3 hour meal and bad experience we had it should have been comped.. At the end of the day..we were willing to pay so it wasn't about the money..We understand they were short staffed and it was valentine's day but all of us are in the same industry..they should have been prepared..I know it may not matter much since were just four regular people but I doubt we would ever return..It's a shame because the place was beautiful. The 3 stars I gave would have been one if it wasn't for Joe and Susan.
