Yesterday I purchased four doughnuts, each a different flavor: lemon-honey, vanilla, cream cheese frosting & sprinkles, another I don't remember. Dough Baby's doughnuts are distinguished by their very dense yeasty texture. The flavors themselves were indistinguishable and they all looked and tasted like vanilla to me, sprinkles notwithstanding. These doughnuts keep well overnight and were as tasty this morning as they were yesterday when fresh. The cost of $2.25 per doughnut seems reasonable given the organic ingredient list and the fact they are fried in coconut oil, a big plus. This yeast doughnut is very different from the light glazed raised that Greenbush offers--and twice the cost--but it delivers a very satisfying experience. If they can make glazes with really distinctive flavors, which is not the case now, their doughnuts will reach a higher level.
