Since DOC has moved to South Park it seems that the building itself got an upgrade, but the amount of space in the waiting room was seriously downsized and the overall patient experience took a massive downgrade.
DOC clearly takes a ton of medicare/medicaid patients who tend to bring lots of kids who take up lots of seats. Not to mention them running in and out of the waiting room so they're letting the 99 degree hot air inside each time they open the door. (sigh) It's not the experience you'd expect given the location. I'm not a fan of kids so today's visit REALLY made up my mind to find another dentist before my next appointment.
Then I get new forms to fill out clearly stating that cell phones aren't allowed in the waiting room, yet there are multiple people on their phones talking as I'm reading the form. I declined to agree to that form- why would I agree to that when it's already not being enforced? They've also raised their "no-show" fee to $55! I'm sorry, but I don't miss appointments, so why on earth would I now agree to be bound by a higher fee? I also declined that form. If your office has so many people that can't manage to keep their appointments, then drop those people as clients and move along with the rest of your client list instead of making every client agree to new harsher restrictions. Just another prime example of not wanting to actually confront the people who are breaking the rules... nope instead punish EVERYONE under a new higher blanket regulation... (Bureaucracy at it's finest there!) I get SO tired of this passive aggressive method in the marketplace.
Once I got to the chair, my visit went well, but the events leading up to that were enough to make this my last visit to DOC.
