  • As a local, the Palms has long been one of my favorites, even though I do not live close by. However, my recent experiences have not been as good, and today it was downright awful. Had some free slot play, so I played video poker today only to discover that their players card system was down and the free play would not be available. The area where I played was somewhere near 80 degrees, so I only played for a few minutes and cashed out. Once I cashed out, I couldn't cash in my ticket due to that system being down also. I had to cash the ticket in with a cashier, who acted rather bored with life and offered me absolutely no greeting whatsoever when I got up to her window. Overall, this was the worst casino gaming experience I've had in a decade or longer.
