I've never seen the inside of this church until my most recent trip to Montreal, having only passed by it on previous trips. but with the convenience of Sunday evening mass (a rarity here in the States!) that was in progress as I was walking back from eating a ridiculous amount of poutine, I could not help but heed the call.
the inside is magnificent, quite sizable yet not to the point of making you feel insignificant. the whole place is based on a scale model of Saint Peter's in Rome, and there's a neat spy story involved in how that model was made. great artwork, not just the usual saints and icons, but also of French Catholic history in Canada.
