  • As I was cycling around East mesa last week I came across Waldos BBQ and had to stop in and check it out. Im glad I did. It was exactly what I was looking for, for lunch that day. I was having trouble locking up my bike outside as they dont offer a bicycle rack out front. The hostess, Ashley, came out with a huge smile and told me if I wanted to bring my bike inside while I at it would be totally fine. I would give this place 4 stars based on that encounter alone. Ashley was great!! Got me to my table and seated right away and she even brought me my beverage. Cant say enough about a good hostess. I was then greeted by a hostess, Pam, and she took my order. I had to get the pulled pork along with the spiciest thing they had to offer. The pulled pork was melt in your mouth amazing and the bbq sauce was one of the best i have ever tried in my life. So flavorful, tangy, sweet but with a hefty spicy kick. Its not for the timid. Everything was delicious and the service and atmosphere was great. Again, just what I was looking for. I'd say waldos is a must try if you're in east Mesa or near any of their other locations in the valley. For a food specific review of Waldos BBQ, visit my Blog site at azspicycycler.com.
