| - I don't have any complaints about the exam, though the doctor seemed in a big hurry to be done. She did ask multiple times if I had any questions, however, the eye exam part seemed to be way way less thorough than I've had with other providers. But overall, I really don't have any complaints about the exam. I didn't ask for anything extra. However, I will say, do NOT buy contact lenses here. They tell you they will price match..and then they don't. I just recently ordered contacts. I looked up the online provider that works with my insurance plan. I told the lady "online they are $39.99/ box". Lenscrafters wanted to charge me $64/ box. Instead of price matching, she used my benefits to tell me, that after the rebate ($50) and my insurance benefits ($115), my cost would be $17/ box. The flaw in her calculations was that I would receive the same rebate and of course my same insurance benefits ordering online, which would have taken my overall cost to $0/ box. I tried to explain to her that I received the same benefits ordering online and my starting price was $39.99. She could not comprehend wwhat I was telling her and kept arguing that the cost was only $17/ box, so their price was less than the online price.
So, to make it simple. Lenscrafters price: $64 x 4 = $256 - $115 - $50 - $20 (this is the only discount they gave me that I would not get online.. $20) = $17.75 Now Online: $40 x 4 =$160 - $115 - $50 = $ 0/ box. Simple math. Whether she understood it or was just playing dumb, I'm not sure. But if they say they will price match MAKE THEM ACTUALLY PRICE MATCH. Or..honestly, just order your contacts online (unless of course you have money to burn).
