  • I bought a used car from Sunnyside Honda in Middleburg Heights, OH around Halloween. Worst car buying experience I have ever had, and I have probably bought at least a dozen cars in my lifetime-new and used. Never, did anyone open the door, shake my hand or even say congratulations on the purchase. Every question was met with "I don't know". Should have been followed by I don't care. The salesman was completely lacking in customer service skills and vehicle knowledge. I spent more time sitting alone at his desk with other customer's personal information just lying out on his desk right in front of me than I ever have anywhere. It's a good thing I am honest or I could have taken advantage of the situation and stolen personal information about the customers. When he gave me the keys to the car-finally, he gave me mine and those for another car. When I asked him to show me features of the car-like where the spare tire was-he didn't know. He did break two panels in the trunk looking for it though and when I asked if the dealership would pay to have them fixed he said no. I had to go to another dealer to have them show me where things were. The finance manager is just as bad. He talked me into signing up for the extended warranty. I agreed to a basic warranty and when I was reviewing the paperwork found he had signed me up for the premier warranty (the old bait and switch). I called to cancel but NO ONE at this dealership knows how to use a phone, so never a return phone call. Every time I had a question, I had to drive back out there. They always say they are busy-isn't returning calls their job? I had to go out again to complete paperwork to cancel the warranty. I called and faxed asking where my check was-no answer-again. Then called the company that provides the warranty and they said they cut the check on Jan 15-as of today 2/3/14 I still have not received my money or an explanation from the finance manager. I asked to speak to his superior but was told the finance manager would call me back. Can't even get a name of a superior with these clowns-must have a lot to hide. This is the most dishonest, incompetent dealership I have ever dealt with. I would strongly advise not using this dealership for anything more than a turnaround in their lot. Find a quality dealership where people take responsibility for their actions. Sunnyside Honda is definitely NOT one of those dealerships. They don't know the meaning of the word quality. Went out physically to get the check today 2/3/2014. The finance manager said it was on someone's desk upstairs in accounting and that I would not be able to get it till next Wed. I asked why and his only explanation was that is the way they do things. Their accounting department must be as inefficient as the rest of the company since the check was cut on the 15th and I still can't get it. I said I would pick it up because I just know if they mail it-it would suddenly get lost in the mail. The finance manager said he got my message, but not why he didn't return my call-as he has done uptine times. There was not a single customer in the showroom so it wasn't that he was too busy-which is always his excuse. I started to tell him this is the worst car buying experience I have ever had, but he just turned his back and walked away. Perfect example of this dealership-ignore the customer at all costs. Thank goodness for Angie's List and social media!
