I came here for a wax and while I used to frequent another establishment (see review http://www.yelp.ca/biz/salon-lc-richmond-hill#hrid:4I6UTjwPTwcVmWqCKHM98A/src:self) I decided to come here since I know the employees quite well and a friend of mine goes here for eyebrow waxing.
I felt very at ease when I was led to the back room and a fresh sheet of paper was laid and some easy listening music was turned on. But what really put it over the top for me was the sanitary concern. Gloves were used and a sheet of waxing paper was never used more than once as was the wooden stick used to dip into the wax, never used more than once. That really nailed it in the head for me as it may seem like a waste but it's great to see especially when it concerns more private and sensitive areas (ie. brazilians).
The greatest part was going to the counter and handing over my debit card and the total was approximately $20 less than that other place charged. Awesome.
I even had a conversation with the esthetician (Demi) about my experience at the other place and as she is the owner's daughter, she explained that it wasn't right what they did and should have pulled me aside to express their concerns, now that is class and good business sense.
