I just stayed three nights for my birthday last month and had a really pleasant stay. The girl at check-in was friendly and actually asked us if we would prefer a higher strip view, which obviously we agreed to and she even had her manager throw my name up on their rotating sign behind them to say happy birthday to me!
I loved that they had good restaurants and a bar that were close off our elevator without having to walk all the way to the strip for a bite. I was of course ready to start day drinking at 10 AM, but I guess 11 wasn't too bad...
Inside our room, the bed was comfy and the wifi was solid throughout the hotel. The layout to our room was easy and parking in the structure near the hotel elevator was also a breeze with their light up signals, albeit still stupid that you now have to pay for parking. We even spent a little time in their arcade which was pretty cool.
I'm only knocking them for one star because the pool wasn't that great... because of the high rise buildings and parking structure, the sun doesn't actually come down on the pool area until like 11, which means all the chairs are filled and it's so hard to find a spot.
But if maybe you don't care so much about that, NYNY is a great place to stay!
