  • Oh I'm sorry, I thought this was a nightclub. I didn't know it was actually a fight for survival against being crushed to death. I mean, what is crowd control, right? That's just a myth when there are tickets that need to be sold. There seems to be a common theme in the reviews before me: overbooked, pushing and shoving...Let me paint a picture. The promoter guestlist line stretched like a snake across the Caesar's Palace casino floor. The general admission line was EVEN longer. Why they kept letting so many people from GA in even though they were still admitting the VIPs and guestlist people, I don't know. Again, crowd control is just a myth. Once you're inside, Omnia consists of a main dance floor with balconies on top. It's actually a beautiful club with a lot of cool tech. Strobe lights, lasers, fog, colourful rotating ceiling things, and barely clothed flexible ladies ascending and descending on poles and platforms. Around the dance floor is basically a circle with bars and one bathroom somewhere along this circle. The inner circle consists of booths. The outer circle is where the peasants, like us, are. On Memorial Day weekend, this circle became a merry-go-round of crushed bodies as people tried to squeeze their way, both ways, through the crowd. Bouncers didn't give a shit if you finally got out of the mayhem as they SHOVED you right back in and yelled "KEEP MOVING". It was so crazy, I didn't even know there was an outdoor terrace, which I'm sure would have been absolutely delightful. The worst was the area in front of the bathroom. If someone fell down, they would've been trampled to death and no one would know. Those were very real fears of mine. The upper balconies weren't much better. You couldn't see anything unless you were in a booth situated at the balcony's edge and unless you were glued to a wall, you'd also likely end up being in a sweaty sandwich. So as someone who bought the Zedd night VIP Bar Card for $120, I never once got on the main dance floor and I almost got crushed to death. Oh, and I think I glimpsed Zedd's face once. Yay! Good news, the VIP bar card got me $100 worth of some pretty strong drinks and the bartenders were very efficient. Bad news, that's like 3 drinks and it's $12 for water because tap is for poor people and only Fiji is acceptable in Omnia. I was really excited to check out one of Las Vegas' "legendary" nightclubs. I didn't care much for the DJ, but it would've been nice to SEE him, especially for the money we paid. My advice would be to go on a weekend that's not a holiday. Hell, go on a weekday. Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish was wrong. Chaos is not a ladder. Chaos is the ring of claustrophobic death at Omnia. (39/100) - 2018
