  • Baker Brothers and especially Steve R went above and beyond to help in an emergency. My 92 year old father came home from the hospital with 9 broken ribs. He had to be moved with a hoyer lift in a sick room that had carpet. It was difficult to move the hoyer safely on the carpet. The first flooring place said it would be 2 months before they could put a solid floor in. Baker Brothers did it in less than 5 business days! We told Steve our dire situation and he helped us select the proper hard surface and then called on each possibility to find out which of the suitable floorings could be delivered in a couple of days. He measured the floor on a Saturday. Chris in scheduling was conscientious, responsive and understanding and scheduled an installer the same week. Because of the short time frame, the threshold did not arrive, but they put in a substitute and a week later returned and installed the matching piece. The installation was done quickly as they knew my Dad could not be out of the bed more than about 3 hours. In addition they were price competitive with the place that told me they could not install for 2 months. They did not take advantage or charge us a premium for the expedited service. Steve really helped us get the right floor that was appropriate for a sick room, we had no idea about vinyl planks, woods, laminate, but he knew what we needed for cleanliness and safety.
