  • My husband and I went here to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We wanted to try something new and asked for some recommendations from friends. Meat and Potatoes did not disappoint! We made reservations a week or so in advance for a Saturday night. It was very busy but we did not have to wait for our table. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They congratulated us on our anniversary. We asked questions about different dishes on the menu and they provided us with some excellent recommendations. We both one of the specials which was a delicious chicken dish. We were also surprised by a bottle of wine from a Canadian winery that we love that friends of ours had left at the restaurant. The fact that they did that for us and served it as a surprise speaks volumes to the kind of people that run the restaurant. It was a bit crowded in the dining room. You are right next to the tables next to you so you cannot really have private conversations. (I also feel for the waitstaff who have to make their way around everyone and everything with trays). I only docked points for the crowded feel and the noise. We will be back to try the other amazing dishes on the menu.
