I have been in the medical field for 5 years as a medical assistant and would never even think of blowing a patient off and making them feel uncomfortable. I went to go get seen and in triage I told the M.A that I was having knee pain due to my arthritis. Before I could finish my sentence the triage person said " we don't do that here " I was puzzled and did not understand what he was referring to , so I just patiently waited for the provider . The provider came in and did not proper evaluate me she did not even touch me . I know being in the business that a standard evaluation consists of listening to the heart and lungs if you choose to not go any further that's on you , but at least fully examine the part of the body that is in question. The provider came in and said we do not treat pain here and said that there was absolutely nothing she could do for me. I was there for knee pain and my joint was swollen , which honestly all I was looking for was a simple brace and some anti-inflammatories. If the provider would have took the time to proper evaluate me she would have seen that my knee was swollen beyond belief. I feel like she judged me before evaluating me and I am looking into reporting next care to the medical board.
