Stood in line based on all the hype for this little restaurant waaaay up the hill on St. Laurent. Had dim sum the day before in Chinatown which was hands down better. We ordered the only two non-vegetarian dumplings with 2 of the 4 available sauces. One was shrimp the other pork. No hint of either. We kept trying The one that was supposed to be shrimp (we think) was over-fried to toughness. Didn't get the right two sauces so ended up with a third. Overwhelming vinegar in two of them although the one with harrissa was the best of the three. The other sauce was in the nature of satay which I normally like
but I didn't like the flavor and it plainly did not go with the dumplings in any case.
Decor is not kitchy, it's just non-existent. Thermoses? Really?
We have a small dumpling place near us in Connecticut that produces much better fare.
Obviously will not be back.
