  • Now THIS is what a salon experience should be like! Recently I was overcome with the desire to chop off half my (very long and unruly) head of hair. Unfortunately, my favourite hairdresser wasn't taking appointments until March! My compulsion to cut consumed me so much that I called John Steinberg & Associates (which is located conveniently close to my home) and asked for the next available appointment. The girl on the phone was so friendly and helpful, and I was booked in for later that same afternoon. As soon as I walked through the door, I was greeted warmly, my coat was taken and I was offered a drink. I settled in with a magazine and a cup of hot coffee while I waited for my stylist Alicia to finish up with another client. The atmosphere inside is really warm and inviting, with wooden floors and cute accent pieces. Alicia made a real effort to ask the right questions to determine what kind of look I was going for. She gave me a lovely scalp massage while washing my hair, and I was in and out of there in under an hour with a great-looking head of hair. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a change of pace from their regular salon, or those looking for a new go-to!
