  • We ordered garlic bread with cheese, battered mushrooms and a pizza for takeout. The mushrooms were the highlight. The batter was crisp and light without being greasy and the mushrooms inside were tender and delicious. The garlic bread had much too strong of a garlic flavor and I wasn't able to eat more than a few bites before I gave up. We ordered our pizza with pepperoni, mushroom and sausage. I expected it to be a little greasy due to the toppings, but it was so greasy it overpowered the flavor. It's not something I'd order again. Basil & Garlic may be a victim of high expectations based on the reviews here, but I don't think we saw enough to come back for a second try even though the mushrooms were pretty decent.
