| - The Raq seems to me like a confused person who can't seem to make up its mind... As you go in, you walk upstairs and find yourself in a large room that is a mixture of several things, a club, a lounge, a bar, and a pool hall, but not really great at being any of those...
The bar in the middle, has a reasonable selection of liquors and spirits, but a little over priced, but then again everything at clubs are overpriced, so that should be expected. The dance floor is a little small for an actual club, and the music much too loud for a regular bar. In order to actually hear someone talk we had to go outside onto the terrasse, luckily it was relatively warm that day. As for the pool hall... We didn't actually play any pool, but observing those who were, they seemed to be having some difficulties, the tables were a little too closely placed, and there are pillars which you find yourself knocking your cue into...
Might be better if they can just decide to go with one thing and stick with it.
Cover charge was reasonable though, $7 after 10pm
