I needed to see a doc for a brief visit on my travels to Las Vegas. Concentra's location was convenient and the wait wasn't too long. I saw the doc and was treated appropriately.
The staff insisted upon collecting a copy, even though I explained that I had met my out-of-pocket max for the year. So I paid them, waited for the EOB and called Concentra billing to ask for a refund. Surprise, surprise, if you don't ask for a refund, they just leave the "credit" on your account.
I requested the refund 6 weeks ago. I called today to follow-up. I was told it would take 8-12 more weeks for money to be refunded, even though Blue Cross paid my claim 14 days after date of service.
Companies like this need to be called-out. The staff was professional and the service I received was fine. But the billing practices are shady.
