  • Went on a warm Sunday, too hot for outdoor play, still too early in the season for most swimming pools, so I expected it to be packed. What I didnt expect is how much of a safety hazard it can be for small kids, or kids not part of a group. My lone 3.5 year old kicked his shoes off upon entering, crawled into the first tunnel he saw, and disappeared within seconds. I tried to follow him into this pitch dark tube, only to find it forked off in different directions. I lost him. It only took two seconds. So I explored the entire play area, looking for my son, and began to grow concerned when I came accross many different small nooks and crannies, poorly lit and poorly ventilated. Many of these dark corners within the tree and adjacent structures included metal rung ladders, which in my opinion should be wrapped in foam. A child could easily injure themselves on a ladder in one of these dark places and there would be nobody around to help them, let alone even be aware. Anyway, I finally found my son, looking lost, nervous and sweating(its hot in there). He had a scratch on his face that was probably from another kid literally clawing their way past him. He's a little guy so he moved slower than most, and just became another climbing obstacle for other kids. If you plan to let your small child run free here, especially if they do not have an older child with them, it should be in your best interest to squeeze your butt in there too and climb around with them. You'll feel better about your child's safety and overall experience, and you will also witness some of the most rude, poorly behaved children in the valley. Pushing, hitting, clawing, name calling.. you can only imagine the anarchy that goes on when parents are not watching. I understand it isn't easy to watch after multiple kids in a place like this, but if you do plan to let a group of kids loose here, please lay down some guidelines for them, use the buddy system, have the older ones set good examples, and everyone will have fun. Please remind them to say sorry and excuse me, and to respect smaller kids and other's personal space. Oh, by the way, the website says they clean or check the restrooms every 15 minutes. Well, thats definitely not true. I was there for a couple hours and the same overfilled trashcan and mess was present in the restroom the entire time. This observation makes me question how well the play area is sanitized nightly as the website also claims. The arcade wad a disappointment. I really expected more out of that. Thanks for reading my review, hope it helps. Minus 3 stars for lack of "good with kids" staff, and overall cleanliness
