  • When I think of Cartel, I think of home (but with incredible, delicious coffee). Cartel offers the best, top-notch coffee roasted and brewed in the valley...but although the coffee is superb, the people behind the counter make this much more than a place to pick up a latte. The manager, Ben greets me as a best friend every time I come in, and the rest of the staff remembers my past orders, my questions on life, and they genuinely listen every day I walk through the front door. The setting of Cartel is perfect for good conversations, the music playlist is everything you'd want, and the snacks from Phoenix Public Market are extremely hard to avoid eating (because they're delicious). If you need to get work done, head to the back room where it's quiet and ideal for knocking out a homework or work assignment. In general, I cannot recommend this place more. Ben, Kiley, and Mark have become friends that I look forward to seeing each time I come in. I buy their beans, make cold brew at home from their instructions, and often come just to sit and hang out. If there was a six star review, I'd give it to them. Bravo.
