| - I stayed here in August 2016. This was one of the dirtiest, creepiest hotels I have ever stayed at and they call themselves "four star". I went to Phoenix for desperately needed rest and relaxation. I work two jobs and rescue/care for animals for a non-profit when I am not at my paying jobs, so I'm basically moving 14 hours a day. I just wanted some relaxation in a clean environment. They are located in a very cute, mid-century neighborhood with lots of preserved architecture so I was initially excited. However, the moment I walked into my room I knew something was off. There were empty spaces where it looks like furniture was missing, the floor was made of self-adhesive carpet squares that were coming up at the corners, and then I found a human tooth in the bathroom area.....let that sink in. I was immediately disgusted and called the front desk. Their simple response was to get me another room and assure me that this one was clean because they checked it. I walked into that one and there were weird stains all over the furniture, more strange empty spaces, and as I tried to finish out the day there, the place literally started falling apart ON me. I was using the bathroom in my room, and the toilet paper holder fell onto me. at that point, I decided there was no flipping way I was staying at that place. The pool area is beautiful, and very relaxing but I was not confident that it was clean after my experience with the rooms. The "spa" there is simply a room that an independent massage therapist (who was excellent that day) uses. To their credit, they did refund my charges for the time I was there but that didn't give me back the day I wasted there or the time I spent at 11pm trying to find another hotel. The place is cute but too bad it's so run down and dirty. See my photos.
