I came here after seeing so many good posts about this place in the "Las Vegas Vegans" Facebook group. Honestly, I was disappointed...
I told the owner to order me his 2 favorite dishes. He chose the enchiladas and a torta. I was not impressed with either. The enchiladas came with rice and beans. The rice was okay, but the beans lacked flavor (tasted like water).
It seems as though the chef went through the vegan freezer section and bought all the fake meats and cheeses, put them together, and called it cooking. This is 100% fast food for junk food vegans. If you are looking for food with any nutritional value, this is not the place.
That being said, I do think this place is a great transition for stubborn carnivorous junk food eaters. You might even be able to trick a meat eater into eating here! I applaud Pancho's for spreading veganism and was happy to see how busy they were when I went in. Over half the tables were full when I went!
The owner and the staff were incredibly friendly. The owner kept checking on me, and he was ready to answer any questions I might have had. So although I'm not the biggest fan of the food, I really like the staff and appreciate their spread of vegan knowledge. I honestly wish nothing but success for this place!
*They may want to change their name though, because Pancho's Kitchen is AMAZING healthier vegan Mexican food so people may have higher expectations if they see Pancho's Tacos with the similar name.
