My friends had hyped this place up as the best pasta they've ever had, so naturally I had to go. Was it the best? No. Was it still really good? Yes!
We tried four different dishes and each of them tasted so good I could have easily eaten everything on the table myself. Trattoria was very successful in blending two different cuisines to make one sound dish.
The down side though was in the details. We ordered two uni tomato cream with scallops. I wish there was more of an uni taste, but what was really disappointing was one plate had a satisfying number of scallops and the other literally had one piece. For $6 more to get one scallop felt like a rip off.
I was tempted to give this place a 3 star, but at the end of the day, all the dishes tasted great and I would go back in a heart beat, although maybe not upgrade to the scallop dish.
