  • Southwest in any other airport I give a solid three stars because their frequent flier program is an excellent value, and if you earn companion pass status and fly regular with a significant other, it's an incredible value. They never earn more than three stars though because while their employees are often very nice, the company really couldn't care less about you. So fly them for value, but don't fly them for experience or customer service. Then comes the mighty McCarran International. I don't really care whose fault it is, but the seating situation in the Southwest terminal is atrocious, and, in typical Southwest fashion, they don't give a sh*t. Just walk through terminal C and at every single gate with a flight departing in less than an hour you'll see 20 to 30 people sitting on the ground. It has been this way for years. Do they do anything about it? No. All the eating options are generally out of seats as well. To add insult to injury, Southwest only scans luggage at the origin, so if your bag disappears somewhere between McCarran and where you came form, or someone steals it off the belt at McCarran, they will never know. I had luggage stolen in 2012 and even after my wife and I tracked the luggage down via the second hand clothing store where the thieves tried to sell it, tracked the thieves down and got them arrested, Southwest was still calling me to let me know they were looking for the missing bag. Southwest, if you're listening, go buy some f'ing chairs and stick them in the terminal.
