  • Bottom line, the Silver Spoon serves a need for quick and convenient food in downtown Phoenix. The restaurant specializes in salads and sandwiches. Breakfast is served before 10:30 AM. The place had a steady flow of customers shortly before lunch. During lunch there was a line to the door! So how was the food?? Meh.. I had the pressed turkey. When I saw the line, I looked down at my plate, then back up at the crowd. What was I missing?? What was everyone else having for lunch?? People are lined up just for 'meh'? Maybe my taste buds were a little off today. Maybe people are here for the convenience? Oh well. I'll go back. I'm a firm believer in trying everything twice, just in case I get it wrong the first time. Although...I probably won't go para sailing again. My first time scared the bejesus out of me!! (Especially when I almost went sailing into a palm tree...) BTW: Silver Spoon is off Central Avenue, just north of the Washington Station a couple blocks. You can also deboard at Central Station if you're on an eastbound train, just head toward Central and go south about a block.
