OK, I wish I had some great things to say but I feel like there's so much potential in this coffee house fashioned after a general store but it's just falling short...way short. I've been in several times including early morning, lunch time and about 3pm. There's never been a line. I'm in love with the homemade coffee crumb cake but the dates written on the bottom make them totally suspect because I'm not sure if that's the made date or eat by date.....but heck I'm still alive. The coffees are hot and delicious. I was turned off by seeing a man drinking from a coffee mug then hanging on the ceiling hook....I don't want coffee dripping on my head when I walk in and does someone remember to clean it? There's usually a group of men in the front chit chatting at the table closest to the door every morning. In the afternoons I've seen that same table filled with men with laptops, some of them napping. I felt like kicking their chairs and saying WAKE UP..... Let's talk about the cleanliness....it's just old, dusty and well; gross. The bathroom is clean but it the whole place looks like someone forgot about it for 70 years then decided to open up the doors and serve coffee. The upstairs has dirty, dusty chairs scattered through the room. You have to find an open table and then move the chairs around. I expected a ghost to help me at any time. I feel like some cleaning, cozy chairs/couches and light music playing would make this place a winner. I just wanted to love this place and I can't, I"m too skeeved out. I can't imagine myself bringing my laptop to come and work because the chairs are not comfortable or welcoming.
