  • This place usually brings in a transient crowd but not everyone here fits into the bubble. I found myself in between places. Tired of wasting money on expensive hotels with resort fees, constantly dinning out... Especially when you're trying to save money. Anyhow. Here's my experience. I called in to see what the weekly rate was. To my surprise $288.88 for 7 Days. Not Bad. About $40 per day. No Resort Fee. There's a grocery store about a mile north, so I figured I'd spend about $50 for the week. I step into the office, the front desk lady... How should I describe... Rude, Condescending, Obnoxious and that is putting it lightly. She asked for my ID and gives me a room number with a map. Says "Go check it out and see if you like it... I get up there... its clean. But as I look over there is a large hole in the wall where I suppose an air conditioner belongs. I go back to the office and say it's okay but there is a hole in the wall and it's raining. Front desk lady "Is that going to be a problem for you?" So she sends me to another one, it was acceptable. Come back into the office, front desk lady says... Let me do your background check... Background check? Yes. Criminal and Civil... Okay fine... Here's the unprofessional part... This yo-yo starts spieling out all my personal business in the lobby in front of other customers... I was so irritated with this lady. Who hires these people? Then she proceeds to ask me about 5 times will there be anyone else in the room with me? I said No! And by the 3rd time... I was thinking if she does one more thing. I swear I am outta here! Hands me a stack of papers to review and sign... As I am looking through the paperwork, a young lady comes in with a baby on her hip looking for accommodations. The front desk lady ask for ID and says she can start the background check, the young lady goes off. Cursing and carrying on about nobody told her about this background check. The young lady storms out and as soon as she did, here comes the "armed" security guard. They begin to chat among themselves as if there were no customers in the lobby. The front desk lady says "She's a prostitute and we don't want those kind here. The security guard says "She offered to service me if I could get her a room here". The professionalism here is just incredible. :-) Here's the really jacked up thing about this background check... By Law, they have to inform you that they are doing a background check. If you have any outstanding warrants, they'll check you in and take your money... Then they'll call metro and you'll be getting a knock at the door hauling you off to jail. So beware So I finally check into the room. For the bargain price of $288.88 you really get the bare bones minimum. No trashcan, no bedsheets, no cookware, no toilet paper, no shower curtain. Nothing. No worries... I was prepared. Finally showered up and all ready for bed after a super long day... At about 3:30 AM... Non-stop fire alarms... Yes. This place is just lovely...
