I was visiting a friend last night at Capital Place Apartments on 11th St and Washington and when I was leaving my truck was being towed. Apparently Capital Place changed the visitor parking to resident parking. There were no signs posted that the area was changed to permit only visitor parking. My friend that is a resident was not made aware of this change in parking policy. Luckily I was able to pay a $20 drop fee for the guy to unload my truck but had I been any later it would have cost $160 to get it from the yard. Once again there were no signs posted as for who to contact if my truck was towed away so I would assume it was stolen. I would have had to get the police involved, miss work the next day, and come out of pocket $160 because of the company's inability to communicate. The tow truck operator said that mine was the 3rd automobile that he was called on that same night from that parking area. I find it ridiculous that this organization can make a change such as this that impacts people in this manner. Again, luckily I only had to pay $20 to get my truck unattached from the tow truck but I feel bad for the (at least 2) people that weren't so lucky.
