| - I will say with my credit history and situation, This dealership went above and beyond to help me get a car. I felt, though, they were only trying to sell a car. I did not get to look at the car I went in originally looking at and was told that with my mileage overage from my lease, I could only stay with a new Nissan to get the rebates. I was looking at a used car nearly 1/4 of the price I ended up purchasing a car for. My plan was to take out a loan for my mileage overage. Unfortunately, I fell for their trick. Finance was only trying to get me into a new car when I should have looked elsewhere. Once the sale was final, I was to receive a rebate check. Finance never put in for it. I had to personally visit the dealership and have the check requested and sent to me.
During the sale, I told them I wouldn't have a down payment because I have one more payment to make on my lease. That's when they told me I had no more payments. A payment was deducted the following Friday and in further communication with NMAC, they stated either I or the dealership was responsible for the last scheduled payment. When I discussed this with the finance department, they said the manager wasn't in and I would receive a call at the end of the week. I never received that call and received a NSF fee along with an overdraft fee. Something I was told the dealership would take care of, but no one got back to me.
I didn't get into a car I was in love with because of my "financial situation" and drove off with a $23,000 loan. I went from a 2012 Altima to a 2015 Versa Note. Huge downgrade. This past month has been full of regret as I'm stuck in a car I dislike because I wasn't fully informed on all of my options. I will not be referring friends or family to his dealership.
