I have two cats, a three year old and a new kitten. The three year old is wonderful, well behaved, and not unusually smelly. However, after the kitten goes to the bathroom, it smells so bad it will wake us up in the middle of the night and we have to get out of bed to take it out. We think it may be so bad because she is not covering her droppings. I always go to this Petsmart for food because it is close to home and so today I decided to ask a question of the staff at the Banfield pet hospital they have inside. After waiting for the girl with all the tattoos (I only mention the tattoos to identify her because I did not get a name) to stop talking I asked if there was anything we could do to get the kitten to cover like some sort of training. She shrugged her shoulders and said some cats do some don't and that I should be happy she goes in the litter box at all. I felt that her response was flippant and that she didn't really care to be speaking to me at all. I have spent a lot of money at this store and would have appreciated at least a little empathy even if there was no solution.
