| - We unfortunately have no choice but to deal with this pool cleaning company as we are "renters" even though we actually pay for the pool cleaning services out of our monthly rent. The property management company uses them and will not let us service our own pool, nor will they consider hiring another pool cleaning company after we have complained to them about this one.
I just don't get where Dale(the owner) gets his guys from!
They ALL do a subpar job and have attitude problems. If you want your pool cleaned right you need to sit outside when they come and babysit, totally ridiculous! If not, they will cut corners and not do what they are supposed to do, which is to just clean your pool/hot tub.
We've dealt with Mike and he started out great, until he started slacking off. So we called Dale and brought it to his attention, which made the situation worse! I guess Mike was pissed that we complained about him so he started to do an even worse job on purpose and made it known too.
That guy has some serious anger issues. If you try to talk to him, it's like he's wants to snap your head right off. He doesn't want to hear anything you have to say, comes off as a know it all and will get argumentative if you dare disagree with him.
We then dealt with Luis or Jose? (Cannot remember his name), who was way worse than Mike was. Some weeks Luis/Jose wouldn't even show up, never put enough chlorine tabs in the pool, never tested the water, and would rarely clean the pool filters or pool catchment, let alone doing a shoddy job of cleaning out the pool and hot tub when he did show up. When we called him out on it, he acted like he couldn't understand English. He rectified the problem and started to clean the filters out by dumping all the leaves and debris in the rocks, at times even dumping the debris right on top of the hedges. We where having to go behind him to clean it up, and pretty much maintain the pool/hot tub on our own.
So again, we had to call Dale. Luis/Jose totally denied that he was skipping out on some weeks. We actually had to take pictures of our dirty pool/hot tub and send it to Dale, after Luis/Jose insisted that he just left our house from cleaning it. Only to sneak into our yard 15 min later, after getting off the phone with Dale. Guess he seriously thought I couldn't see him?
We now have another pool guy, can't remember his name. He's okay, hit or miss. If I'm sitting outside watching him he does a great job, if not, he'll conveniently miss cleaning out the hot tub and cut corners, like not setting the valves back to where they are supposed to be, very annoying. Every week when he comes, I'll remind him to please clean the hot tub too, which irritates the piss out of him. He'll look at me with a condescending look and say, I always do!
Which is so not the truth.
At least he does a good job when I'm sitting outside watching him. Seriously, who should even have to do that tho?
I feel like they think they don't have to do a good job because we are only "renters".
Dale is okay to deal with when we need to talk to him. Just wish he'd hire guys that can and want to do their jobs.
