  • This hotel was a home-away-from-home for me. Quite literally. My apartment flooded. Homewood Suites became my home for roughly two weeks. I walked in on a Saturday, got a room for two nights. Had a work trip, came back to Charlotte stayed for a week and a half. I completely fell in love with the staff here. The kitchen ladies are sweet, and put up with my sleepy behind every morning (complimentary breakfast!) and they even realized that I can eat my weight in bacon, and made sure I got some of the super crispy pieces, my favorite. The front desk staff is fantastic - Amy, Trey and Kevin in particular made me feel welcome and answered every question I had. The fitness center is great, I ran and lifted a few times in there - they'll give you headphones at the front desk. The pool is outdoor, but looks lovely. I was here so long I even did some laundry, the dispensing machine ate my money, but Amy was quick with sympathy and quarters, haha. I did have to move my room once due to noise, the room next to mine was having loud "adult activities" late into the night and early the next morning. I was at the front desk and moved into a new room by 7:15am, with apologies for the inconvenience from the staff. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others, they fill up fast though because of corporate visitors. Make sure to collect your hilton points and grab some bacon for breakfast.
