| - My dog "woofs" this place!
There isn't a shortage of dog groomers in this city. It's all about finding the right one, and I think I did. I called a couple of shops in my area before coming here. One shop didn't return my call, and another turned me off with their phone demeanor. Bow Wow Meow was recommended by my colleague who's been taking her dogs here for years, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
I told the staff that my dog was a rescue, so he's still cautious around people and has a tendency to bark and growl at strangers, but he doesn't bite. The ladies understood my concern and took him to back to get groomed. As much as I wanted my dog to get a cute cut, he had some matting. His groomer recommended he get his hair shaved short, which was the best choice.
There are different grooming options available, they even do facials(?!) An extra charge will be included for animals with heavily matted fur, I believe it's $10 if I'm not mistaken. In the end, I paid a little over $40 (tip not included).
Dogs that play well get to interact with other doggies waiting for their turn to get groomed. There are also cages of different sizes where pets are kept until their owners return.
I'm glad I went with Bow Wow Meow. My dog seemed like he enjoyed his time there, and the staff mentioned he quickly warmed up to them and the other dogs (what a relief!). The service was fantastic, and the price is reasonable. I'll be taking my dog here again for his next cut.
