First of all this review is not based on any services provided by the staff. This review is solely based on my phone call with the tech or receptionist i spoke with yesterday. I was trying to find a clinic open on sunday for my kitten. I called your facility in the morning when I was at work trying to get some information on bringing my kitten in for a possible uti. The employee that answered (megan) must've been having a bad day because she seemed like she heard what she wanted to hear and she came off like she thought I was an incompetent pet owner. The gist of the conversation was she told me I should have brought her in days ago that she shouldn't be bleeding at all after a spay and she needed to be seen that morning asap. Her tone of voice was not the best either. I adopted this kitten from a shelter Friday, yes this past Friday evening. I had her for a whole day and a half before taking her to an emergency vet. Yes I know bleeding on my 10 week old kitten isn't normal....thats why I'm calling. If megan would of let me finish providing the info i knew on my new kitten before jumping to conclusions cuting me off and saying all of that nonsense. I wouldn't be so pissed off. For one, If I didn't know better, If I happened to be a new pet owner or knew nothing about animal medicine. she would've sent me into a state of panic with that one phone call. I'm no doctor or even tech but i did graduate pima medical veterinary assisting program so i had a pretty good educated guess about what was wrong with my new kitty. I could see she was healing fine from her recent spay and all of her symptoms screamed uti. Long story short, that is not fair of her to do to pet owners who are only trying to help their loved animals. Telling them what they shouldve done days ago, instead of what they need to do now. How is that relevent if it was an emergency situation. Like i said, if i didnt know better she wouldve made me panic along with making me feel like shit. Regardless of a bad day, she should work on her customer service and choose her words wisely during such difficult converstations. Long story short, I just wanted to tell you why I drove past your location yesterday to go into Scottsdale (I'm from maricopa so that's a long drive for me). A simple phone call can make all the difference. Oh and my kitten was diagnosed with a uti and is now feeling better with pain med and antibiotics. And I wasn't charged for emergency fee.....and I wasn't belittled. I hope your tech or receptionist can get a refresher on customer service.
