  • I'm pretty well inked, so I've been around a few tattoo shops. Modern Ink is definitely one of the best. Every single artist that works there is just that... an artist. I don't think I've ever seen anything leave that wasn't pretty fantastic. I go to Tom for my ink. He's professional, courteous, and won't BS you. He'll tell you if he doesn't think placement or art is a good idea. After all, the tattoo you get is his business card. He's always happy to do custom work, and in fact prefers it. If you give him an idea of what you want, he'll draw it up. He's currently working on a steampunk spine piece for me, and is going so far as to research the biology of the spine so that his art matches the vertebrae. Tom also offers free touch-ups for life on his artwork. The shop and bathroom are always clean, which is a huge plus. I recommend these guys to anyone looking for a shop with artists who are talented, versatile and professional.
