So, my daughter, her father and I visited SoHo after playing at the Science Center, on a Sunday evening. The restaurant only had about two other customers so we had the dining room to ourselves. The vibe was chill and our server was awesome. He took his time with us and put extra detail into accommodating my little munchkin.
I ordered the Pittsburgher Chicken Salad which was decent, nothing to write home about. My significant other ordered the Meatloaf feature. His food looked so dry and inedible. He's not the type to complain about his food to the server, but I am. So the server took the food away after he tasted the horrible looking good and encouraged him to order something different. So he ordered the fish sandwich. It was pretty decent however you could tell it was just frozen fish. Are my expectations to high? How hard could it be to dip a piece of fish in some batter and fry it. I was disappointed with the lack of freshness. The chicken breasts in my salad were square mechanically processed strips too.
Well, I don't see a reason to go back there. Unless, I had the same server, because he was refreshing. Service isn't what it used to be. Needless to say, it was "aite", nothing amazing.
