NO CALL... NO SHOW... and CHARGED!
My Cousin and I decided to use Lyft for the fist time while we were staying at the Freemont Hotel downtown. We saw an add for $20 off your first ride so we figured we would try it. We wanted to venture to Trader Joe's and got a fare estimate of $15 which would be perfect for a round trip. We download the app set our destination and waited for our lyft in front of the Plaza Hotel. The app notified us our driver arrived. We did not see anyone in the turnaround. We waited for another 10 minutes and still no driver. Using the text function we text our driver that we are waiting for him in the turnaround. NO ANSWER! We also called him and NO ANSWER! We kept calling as we saw his pin drive away from out location.. Straight to voicemail.
At this point we wanted to cancel the ride as we were not picked up. The app did not allow us to cancel or write back. We then looked online to find any type of contact information. There was an email and phone number. While on the phone I received a notification of a completed ride and charge. The representative on the phone said, "You have to allow the charge then dispute it!" um hello!! Since when do you charge people for a service or good that was never received then make them dispute it to get their money back! I figured if I left the screen open and not approve the charge it wouldn't go through but of course not they charged my card. On top of that there was no $20 credit applied and now I'm stuck disputing the charge through Capitol One.
I still have not received a response from them after writing a dispute through email. Never using this service again!!
