| - So here's the thing. Bah bah baaaah. Fantastic customer service, interesting product that has great promise, and prices in line with expectations. My first and only visit so far is all I can base this on. I ordered strawberry snow cream or whatever the kids are calling it now. As my toppings I got pineapple, strawberries, and strawberry condensed milk. Mouthfeel and portion size were on point.
The taste of the snow cream, not so much. It tasted like plain cream, no assertive strawberry awesomeness. There wasn't even a vanilla backdrop to save it. It was a pale pink, probably due to there not being any strawberry in it. This is all a buzzkill as the cashier had been informing me of their commitment to using all natural ingredients, and the owner's commitment to quality in his product preparation offsite. Then, next bummer: the pineapple is straight out of a can, has that tinny artificial crap kind of flavor and embalmed dead fruit chew. Strawberries weren't out of a can, why not just maintain a smaller variety but guarantee fresh every time? Don't sell me shenanigans. In summary it was a cup of frozen milk with a hint of strawberry flavor for 6 bucks.
For ice cream, you are better off going nearly anywhere. To name a few, the store for some Blue Bell, Coldstone Creamery for some mixed in dankness, Mickeydees for a hot fudge sundae, Art of Flavors downtown for gelato. The texture was awesome but a gimmick isn't going to make up for lack of flavor and freshness. My small was a very generous portion I split with my girlfriend on a plus 100 temps afternoon. Didn't finish half of it and had no desire to.
